Default another Check Engine comment

Was reading in the Automotive Section of the local newspaper that one of the most common reasons for the Check Engine light to come on is a loose gas cap. It goes on to say that it will take two or three engine starts to get the system back to normal when the light will go out.
Anyone encounter this?
