Question Where to find reasonably priced Fuel Filler Hose?

My 90 ford ranger fleetside V-6 started leaking gas. Took it to my trusted mechanic. He said the Fuel filler hose is cracked all the way down. Truck has 158K on it. He called Ford they want $350 for 2' of hose. I checked web and know you can't use any old hose because of static and fire hazard. A Google showed up a hose at monsterparts.com for $69.95. Says it fits 90-2000 Rangers styleside 108-112" wheelbase. Anyone have any experience with this. My Mechanic is willing to use it, he knows it's crazy to put a $350 hose into a $1000 truck. But he's afraid of us both getting burned if it doesn't fit. Thanks, Dave

Thanks!!! that fits the bill. I'll take a chance for $36.00 How in the hell can Ford charge $350.00 for it. It's true, I checked it out. My mechanic thinks it's $50 for the hose and $300 for liability insurance! I bet he's right. Thanks again. Dave

Ford wanted $437 for my fuel filler hose. I purchased it online for under $100 Maybe I could have done better if I shopped around some.
You can make this repair with a little help from a friend. It is not hard to do and you will be finished by the time your six pack is gone.....LOL
p.s. I did not have to drop the tank on my 1994 XLT
