I've jumped my truck several times with NO ill effects.
after jumping it about 5 times at around 45-50 MPH i had to get an oil change. so i took it to the dealer, and part of their free inspection with oil change checks over all suspension comonents and frame.
there was absolutely zero things wrong.
just dont go to fast, or to high. and make sure the take off and landing points are smooth, and straight.

Thank you. Thats what I wanted to know, an honest opinion, and you didnt rip my head off over it. Appreciate it.

Well no shit. It was a lame attempt at humor, you know in movies where the guy goes to the doctor and says something like "hey doc, MY FRIEND wants to know what happens if he takes steroids...

Re: how bad is it to "jump" a ford ranger?
here is a picture of one of my jumps. not the biggest one ive done, but the biggest one ive have picture of. this one was at about 50MPH. i wouldnt go much more than that without caging and LT suspension.
ill say it again, make sure the jump is smooth, not a drop off, and dont go crazy. airtime is airtime, wether it be a split second, or 5 seconds. getting all 4 tires off the ground at once is a blast. it doesnt have to be 2 feet off the ground to be fun. if done correctly you will have no problems.
and start slow, and build up speed over multiple attempts

Re: how bad is it to "jump" a ford ranger?
i don't see the problem, i had to jump start my ranger a few weeks ago when the battery took a shit on me and nothing bad came of it. i've jumped a few other rangers too, they've all been fine. just make sure you hook the cables up right.

well then, remove all 4 cats and then plumb the exhaust directly into the cab to create more lift. make sure to keep the windows up so that you don't let too much air in.
