91 XLT with 30,000 miles
I'm trying to get a price point on my 1991 that i'm going to sell shortly. The truck runs like new, has had regular maintenance, is in great condition, the interior is like new, and the exterior has no dents/dings, just the typical rust above the rear wheel wells. here are the specs:
-30,xxx miles
-3.0 V6
-automatic transmission
-XLT package
-standard cab, short bed
-2 wheel drive
any ideas what i should ask? KBB doesn't exactly help a ton in this scenario.

Re: 91 XLT with 30,000 miles
How is the paint?
And is it 30,000 or 130,000 miles? I only ask because that year model doesn't have a hundred thousand mile indicator, it only goes to the ten thousand mark.
If the miles are truly 30,000 and the paint is in real good shape for the age then I'd say 2,500 to 3,500 IMHO.

Re: 91 XLT with 30,000 miles
It's a good looking truck. IMHO I'd say its a 3,000 truck to the right person. But that's just me.

Re: 91 XLT with 30,000 miles
please expain how one only drives a truck 1,200 miles a year?
and don't say "I kept it in a barn and only used it to drive 5 miles a week"
I suspect your truck has 130,000 miles on it.

Re: 91 XLT with 30,000 miles
Anything is possible especially if an older retired person drove the vehicle since he/she may not feel comfortable driving very far. I live in a suburban town with less than 16,000 people, and within a couple miles in one direction is the local catholic church, McDonald's, two gas stations, funeral home, insurance office, and Plaza with grocery store, hardware store, bank, two pizza places, a park, etc. In the other direction there is also other plazas with convenience store, laundry, meat store, Italian restaurant, Mr. Hero's, two gas stations, flower store, another pizza place, two car dealerships, and office buildings. My mom has a 2003 Taurus that just hit 40,000 miles, and I know that there is a big difference between the two examples, however, my mom drives less than 5 miles to work, and theoretically, if she had to, she could make all her stops on the way to and from her place of employment. So, it is possible.
