Use vht niteshade, works like a charm!!! De- grease the crap outta your tail lights using simple green and then spray niteshade on your lights, probably about three coats (that's what I did and I can still see some red during the day so cops don't pull me over). Spray your screws too with black spray paint so they look all nice when your all done.

My $5 shorty console.
I don't have any completed pictures yet, but here's one I took after I painted as few of the pieces. The console is now entirely black.

Re: favorite/best bang for your buck mods
Every mod I've done has been worth while. But I have to say my Expo console and buckets seats are pretty high on the list, sound system will always be at the top

Re: favorite/best bang for your buck mods
My mods HAVE to look OE, or I dont like them personally.
1. OEM Ford chrome nerf bars for a 98-2001. They bolted up with little modification. Found them brand new, still in the Ford box on a local classifieds page. $35.00
2. Leather wrapped steering wheel (with cruise pods) from an '01 Explorer. Junk yard pick for $10.00
3. Added factory cruise control. I think i was about $40 in junk yard parts plus the steering wheel in #2.
4. Making the "Speed Cont" (Cruise control) dash indicator light functional. Practically free just a few misc. junk yard parts. Will make a how-to for 1995-1996 rangers someday.
6. Added Yakima mountain bike fork mounts to the bed right behind the cab. Best modification of all time for me personally. $50.00 Well worth it. Clean install.
5. Tires. Expensive, but HUGE difference in looks.
6. Did the fog light w/brights or parking lights mod to my buddy's 1995. Cost maybe 2 butt connectors.

My favorite visual mod so far has been my new rims. I have also been very pleased with my flashpaq. Both have been well worth it.
