That's not terrible for gas mileage. My car has a v-6 and does 21 in the city and 28 on the highway. 15/19 isn't too bad, however remember gas won't be as cheap as it is now for ever!

Ha ha!

My good friend has a 2008 Black FX4. Great little truck. Torquey engine, fair gas milage. He is a teenager so his gas milage suffers a bit, but he has claimed to get an average of 18 or so. I imagine up to 25 on the highway. If you have the funds to do so, I recomend you look at the F150 as the MPG numbers from the V6 Ranger are compairable to the F150 with more power. My suggestion.

Good luck!

I have a 2003 fx4 level 2 and i get roughly 16 round town and up to about 22-24 on the highway. Especially when i drove cross country. I love my truck.

I have a 2003 Ranger XLT FX4 and I want to make it more aggressive. I have on it a back rack, tool box, work lights and off road lights. anyone got any good websites where i could find a grille/brush guard and a 3" lift kit? also, anyone recommend some a good aggressive tire and a the biggest size i should get?

-thanks

I'm getting about 16-18 mpg for a mix of both City/highway travel with highway speeds of around 70-75 so my mileage suffers a bit. Though my mods make my heavy foot a bit softer on the gas bill.

mine ain't a 4wd.. but a buddy of mine drives an FX4 and he gets about 16/town and 21-22/HWY. I have the same motor, and have seen 21.3 mpg on the freeway (but thats doing 65MPH with the AC off and I dont have the slight drag of 4wd) but i kinda have a lead foot so my around town driving is 13-15mpg! lol

My 02 Ranger 4x4 gets 16 to 18 in town, 21 to 23 on the highway. All numbers depend on how many times I jump on the throttle for what ever reason.
