I had a 2002 ranger 4x4, 4 door. I got on the low end was (13) 15mpg, and the high end I got was 18/19 mpg. but on avg. 17/18 mpg. with a 16.5 tank. 16 in tires
Now I have a 2004 ranger 4x4, 4 door. 16 in tires. it says I can get 14mpg on the high end 18 mpg.

It seems the auto takes a bit of a hit on the local driving. My setup is very similar to yours but I average 18+. I couldn't tell you on straight highway though. I haven't taken the Ranger on a road trip anywhere yet.

2012 4x4, 4.0 with auto and 3.73 differential. 20 to 21mpg on interstate at 61 to 62mph, 18 mpg at 70mph. Local trips, 5 miles each way, hills and into town, about 14 or 15.
I have a scan Gauge II that I use to keep track of averages and current fuel consumption. Really helps you figure out how to save fuel. Or how to burn a lot if that is your preference.

drove 550 miles and got 34mpg!! (55-65mph with a/c on low)

i get 21-23 southern wv driven 3.0 long bed 5sp 4x4 ( without hubs locked in)

In my 03 Edge 3.0 5 speed, I usually get between 22-24 (probably 70-90% highway driving). The worst I've gotten was 20.7 and the best was 25.5. I have a soft snap on tonneau cover which may help a little.
