Default Ranger or Bronco...Which to build?

So I have a bit of a dilemma...Almost daily I change my mind about which truck I want to make into my wheeling rig. I have a 94 ext. cab 4.0 Ranger 4x4 and an 85 full size Bronco. The ranger runs and drives and has been thru thick and thin with me. Body is straight and paint is in great shape. Bronco on the other hand I've had sitting in a field for almost 8+ years. It has half an engine, crappy paint and a dent in the passenger side.

I have a set of full width dana 60 axles for the front and rear of whatever I choose to use. I don't really want to mess up the body the first time i hit a rock on the ranger, but after i do it once, i'd be fine with it.

Any pro's and con's to using each rig? I figure if I asked this same question on the Bronco forum they would say to use the Bronco, and here will be use the Ranger....

I would build the Bronco. Its already beat up so it would be perfect for crawling and your ranger sounds like a good daily driver. Or you could kinda build up both a little. Like put a nice lift and tires and what not on the ranger then get the Bronco running again with a lift/tires. But my choice would have to be the Bronco, just make a bad ass rig out of it.

id like to build a ranger just cause theyre smaller and lighter, but i agree with ryan as far as if the bronco is already beat up, build it as a trail rig and continue beating it.

I have one of each, too. My 05 Ranger and 96 Bronco. I bought the Ranger with the intent of keeping it stock, and then dumping money into the Bronco to make it a "trail rig." Although, I'm not talking a beater trail rig. I mean a nicely built rig with some lift, 35's, locked and armor. I still don't want to beat the hell out of it. But thats because its still in good shape.

Since i've bought the Ranger, I've done little to the Bronco and dumped a good chunk of money into the Ranger. Now that its about done, i'm getting the urge to build the Bronco again. It's dangerous...lemme tell ya. These things are damn money pits. Its nearly impossible to resist.

With all that being said...built Broncos are just plain bad ass. Sas'ed, on 37's, wheeling with the top off. So legit. You can fit more then one other person in them comfortably and you have that v8 power. And yours is already beat to hell so why not? Otherwise you will then have two beat rigs. Keep the Ranger as a DD.

Here is mine

A guy I know here in CO. I LOVE this rig...

The bronco appears to be the smartest choice. Maybe I should just sell the ranger and use the money to put into the bronco. I still have my 04 Dodge Cummins to drive daily so thats not an issue.

I had a really sweet 89 Bronco. It was the green and tan Eddie Bauer edition. Those trucks are awesome. Wish I didn't sell it. Build the Bronco...lol
