Default 1995 ford ranger wont start?

Okay i just recently replaced the spark plugs and spark plug wires and the fuel filter. WHen i pulled the fuel filter off it slipped right off then put the new one on. Then the car wouldnt start i checked the alt, start, and batter and they are all good. So i checked the spark plug wires see if i had them in order which i thing i do i got the diagram off another website http://www.fixya.com/cars/t1022035-firing_order. So then i checked the fuel filter and tried to take it off and now it is stuck. When i took the entrance line off there was allot of pressure and gas squirted out. Usually when i change them its just slowly running out. Could this fuel filter be restricting flow to the engine?
yes i put the filter on right hahaha! There is a clear arrow saying flow towards engine. But i will check the pressure switch i didnt check that. BUt still dont know what to do with the filter be stuck on there

Fuel should flow freely through the filter. Did you check for packaging material before you installed the filter? Is there a factory seal in the filter that should have been removed before you installed it. The fact that it is stuck could indicate that it is the wrong filter for your vehicle.

If the truck was running before this service work, then as suggested, reset the fuel pump emergency cut-off switch described in your car's owner's manual. You can check for correct fuel pressure using a fuel pressure gauge connected to your fuel injection rail on the engine. Check for good spark with the spark tester below. Make sure of the spark plug wire connections.

Some Fords have what is called an inertia switch that cuts off if the fuel line pressure goes down. It's usually in the back and just needs to be reset. Or the fuel filter is in backwards.
