Cool Choices, choices... What to get?
I'm thinking about getting myself another Ranger, mainly for mudding and playing with. I have an 05' XLT single cab that I use for getting around, but it's only 2WD... soooo what would be the best year to get a 4WD model in?

Go with the manual transfer case also just cause it looks cool having 2 shifters

If you got the money, a level 2 would be pretty sweet. But 97 and older has the ttb front suspension which is lot stronger and a lot cheaper to lift.

I'm looking at about spending 5-6K for the truck, and another 3k if I have to do repairs and upgrades on it.

Instead of 6k on one plus another possible 3k, how about you spend 7k and find a good truck and take the other 2k for mods like wheels and tires!

I see ur here in NC too!!! I was on Craigslist and just have seen a beautiful 97' burgandy red Ranger supercab 4X4. It is lifted with polished eagle alloys (MT classics look alikes) and new 33x12.5 BFG Ats on it. Tinted windows, manual locking hubs power windows and locks, cold-air intake. One badass ranger! I will get the link for you tomorrow. He wants $6,500 for it too btw. Or just go to winston-salem craigslist and look up "lifted ranger". It in Kernersville.

Ya I saw that truck on craigslist the other day, but unfortunately I am here in Afghaninstan. I'm just doing my research right now for after I get home and have the down time to go and get a new truck.
