Default oops! 5W20 oil question

Well about a month ago I bought oil on sale, Well I guess I had a brain fart cause I just looked at the jug and its 5w20 synthetic! I was sure I had bought 5W30 as per requirements. I know theres not a huge difference but will this affect my warranty or should I just cave and buy another 5W30 jug and let this one go to waste?

Insight anyone

Does your receipt say you bought 5W-20?

Even so, it won't be that big of a deal. It is better to go with 5W-20 than say make the mistake and do 20W-50.

true I know this is just a once time deal, but I'd hate for this one time deal to cost me more in the long run, I rather spend anothe $40 on oil then risk any costly damage later on.

True, however it will not damage anything. I have run 5W-20 and 5W-30 in my truck and other vehicles in the past and there have been no issues. There won't be.

On another thought $40 for 5 quarts....HOLY SHIT BATMAN

Whats you manual call for??
For where you live,5-20 won't hurt but if let's say you lived in Texas then 5-30 would be the better choice.
A quick call to my Dealer says the 5-20 is Fuel Saving compared to 5-30. Same protection and not to sweat it.

No biggie on the 5w20. I found out that the ford dealer had been putting that in my truck the last three times I went for an oil change. Even thought it says right on the freaking cap 5w30. Thats one reason I don't let anyone touch my truck but me anymore. Either way, it didn't hurt my truck any as far as I can tell.
