Default broken heater/air fan

I have a 99 ranger 3.0l flex fuel and the heater air fan only works on high. any ideas of why???

Your blower motor resistor is fried, it's all corroded. Very common on these trucks. It's located in the blower fan housing below the blower fan.

I just replaced mine, was just under $30. fair warning: it's going to be a PITA getting the old one off of the harness plug!

Typically the plug is corroded too so it's best to go to a junk yard and find a good one. Take the resistor pack, and cut off the wiring pigtail as well. Then you screwed up wires out of your truck, splice the "new" pigtail onto the wire harness, and install the "new" resistor pack.

May sound like a idiot where is all of that located interior or engine compartment rather save time and ask then mess around n look lol

Engine bay. Passenger side. Round thing on the firewall is the motor.
