Ive want to get rid of mine for a solid one, It is nice to have in the warm months but i just like the look of a a solid one more. Also two things to note are that sliding windows seem to leak more and if you want to open the sliding window make sure your bed is clean or you will get all kinds of stuff sucked into your cab lol

I thought about installing one just because my truck didn't come with one. I'm pretty sure that if my truck came with a sliding window, I'd be wanting to install a solid one. That's just how it is haha.

^basically haha, Im just looking to change things up

Mine holds up fine in the snow/cold there isnt any draft, noise or leaking. As for the lock it's fairly easy to get into all you need is a flat head screw driver or something of that nature and you can prey the latch open and then slide it. Kind of a down fall but Ive never had anyone break into my truck or my previous truck.

Never had a problem with mine. They secure nicely like any other window. If someone wants in bad enough, they will get in...they are good in all weather conditions.

I've owned 4 trucks in my time and all 4 I never had an issue with the rear slider. So yeah its worth it. You can open the driver/pass side windowns little bit and then open the rear slider and get a nice air flow inside the truck, especially on the hot days.

I priced one back when my 09 was new from my landlord who replaces auto glass for a living said (if I remember right) was $250 to $280 and he told me that was cost,I decided that I could live with the solid window and now that mine are all tinted my truck stays quite cool in the summer.I took that $ and bought a tonneau cover, its you truck buy any mod you want only you need to be satisfied on what it looks like.(unless your married)
