Question 1997 disc brake change

Im planning on taking my rotors off of my 97 ranger tomorrow to get them machined but I was told that my automatic 4wd hub connects to the rotor so I have to take the 4wd apart in order to take my rotors off? Is this true or can I get the rotors off without messing with the 4wd hubs.

If that's the case and your short on cash, craigslist is your friend. I got a set or nearly brand new (less than 1000 miles on them) BFG allterrains for $275.

You should be able to take them right off!......find out what you have for ABS.....different rotors for rabs and 4wABS

Where are you at with those tires cause I live in Wyoming. And she's just 2 wheel abs I'm hoping I can just pull the rotors and get them turned

your automatic hubs are easy to take off. when you pull the wheel off they pop right off. but to get the rotor off there are some spindle nut that you have to take off. when you do that keep track of how they came off and put evrything back on in the opposite direction. i have a 94 4x4 with manual hubs and the only difference is the way the spindle nuts are.
