Its top speed is like 140 km/h but its a mountain machine, geared and clutched for power not speed. It puts out about 165 hp and gets 19mpg... Ahah

I have a 1993 3.0 2wd ranger and I'm averaging about 22 mpg city, and upwards of 28 highway. It's got a new clutch, new tranny (about 1k on clutch, and 10k on tranny) and a K&N filter, custom exhaust, clean plugs, MAF, everything.

Just something to throw out there.

So while we are on the subject of fuel efficiency can someone please tell me what the hell this hybrid badge is doing on my truck? I just noticed it last night. This has gotta be a sick joke by the previous owner right? I hate people.GRRRRR....

That sticker means "flex fuel". Meaning that you can put two types of gasoline in your truck.

I thought this was the fuel flex badge. The only time I have seen the leaf was on hybrids. And it's just a sticker. Thought it was a joke.

That's not on a Ranger though. Different vehicles will have their own look for flex fuel. Ours are simply a leaf on a road lol (like everyone knows what that is)

ddnt read the whole thing. but i unplugged the ac and got an extra 2-3 mpg hope that helps

I do have a flex fuel Ranger but haven't used it's feature because the other type of fuel (E85) is not around where I'm at

As for MPG I get a lot when I walk or ride my bike instead of taking my truck. And the Flex Fuel(E85) I get more MPG but the cost of the gas is more so in the long run its about even cost wise.
