found this site a while back, pretty much a bunch of eco-junkies trying to squeeze every last MPG they can

Thanks for the info! Yeah I think I'm going to just go ahead and replace the Fuel Filter tonight. Easy and cheap and probably needs done anyways. We will see what happens after that. I forgot to get the Carfax when I bought it last week so I have no idea if the guy that owned this truck took care of it or not. (My own stupidity) We shall see. I was just accepting that I drive a truck now and 8-10 mpg is the norm. Glad to hear that their may be hope for my bank account!

Re: Gas Saving Mods? Better mpg
yeah 8-10 MPG is not the norm for a unmodded 3L. I am guessing its 2wd? auto? how many miles are on the Odo, it might need some seafoam as well

Re: Gas Saving Mods? Better mpg
What I did with my truck was the following:
Cold air intake
Tonneau Cover
Cleaned MAF sensor
Cleaned Throttle body
Cleaned idle air control
New fuel filter
Seafoam
And most important one of all: a new custom built lighter right foot lol
I did all this and surprisingly got 3 extra MPG added to the truck ! But what like everyone said, there's no speacial part to put in the truck and get 20 more MPG but with all the cleaned up parts and add a few new parts/accessories, your truck should one, run a whole lot better and two, you should see a slight change in MPG as well.

I hear you on that! I would be going insane right about now if I was only getting 8mpg
But I would start cleaning everything up and run some sea foam in there. After that, then check for any improvements. If need be, then start installing those things starting with the engine stuff first and then the accessories.
PS. I love your truck!
