if you go reg cab you should get a 98 or newer, they are a little longer

Yep, in 1998 they added 3" to the reg cab, which helps a lot.
A Super Cab will definitely have enough seat travel for you to be comfortable.

I'm 6'2" and fat as a firkin (350lbs, mostly gut) and I fit in my 2001 XLT very comfortably indeed. I barely fit in the passenger seat of my wife's Fusion, but my Ranger is like a darn La-Z-Boy

id reccomend the super cab but the 98+ regular cab will have enough, but i guess you wont know till you sit and one and take it for a spin..
also, the extended cab will look better when you lift the truck!

I have no idea how you big guys fit. I'm about 5'10", 160lbs, and my head is about 2 inches from the roof. Maybe it's how my bad back requires me to position the seat?

I'm 6'6'' and I fit very comfortably , You might want to get a supercab so you can put the seat all the way back to fit your feet comfortably. Unless the seat goes back the same distance in a regcab, I wouldn't know.

I'm 6'1" 175 fresh outa varsity lifting (I quit the team after summer, 3 years was enough) and I have a regular cab 02 and it's a little on the small side with my sub behind the seat but I always use as much room as a 6'8" guy haha. gotta lean waaaayyyy back.
oh and our team is 5-0. looking for state title this year, we have 2 players with verbal agreements for full rides at UCLA and 1 with a verbal agreement for a full ride at ULV.
thus, I was only on special teams, although can't complain kick off was what I lived for. wedge breaker ftw haha
