Default Installed HID's Today!

Hey Fellas,

Just wanted to boast around my new HID's. I installed them this afternoon, took about an hour and a half.

Kind of rushed through the last 15 minutes because it started to rain a bit (rain came about 2 hours earlier than forecasted, damn meteorologists). The rain totally threw a wrench into the installation of the fog lights which I had planned on tackling today. Oh well, I suppose I'll have to wait til the next nice day.

Anyway, the install went pretty smoothly. I did have a difficult time trying to locate places for the balasts to fit properly and keep everything neat at the same time. All in all everything went well and they looked good in the light but can't wait til tonight so I can drive around a see how they really look.

I would be curious to see what they are like at night from inside the cab.

Just make sure you aim them low enough to not blind oncoming traffic. I enjoyed plug-n-play HID's for many many years. Now that you have them, you will want more. So pretty soon, I would suggest doing a projector retrofit.

Crymes, Make your own goddamn thread!

Op, you'll never look back to regular headlights again. I bought a civic a few months ago that had. Normal headlights in it (truck has Hids) it was the worst driving ever. Now it also has 55w Hids with high and low. It was an easy decision.

No, not yet but I would like to at some point. Wasn't in the budget, when I have the money for it and I feel like I have gotten my money outta of these I might move forward with projectors.

You're good man, I've done it before too. We're all here to get some answers and give a lending hand, no worries. If my thread can help you out, then I feel that I have.

In regard to your adjustment question, on the ranger atop the head light unit there are a few screws that you can turn one direct or another that will tweak the angle that the headlights point. Said screws are located on top of the black brackets that hold the whole housing in place, I'll see if I can't get a pic or two when it isn't dark.

Thanks X2. I busted my butt cleaning her yesterday after work only for it to rain today. The inside is still clean, armorall'ed, vacuumed and clean windows on one side.
