Very good information indeed, this must have taken a lot of time to put together. Now for the fun part. I have not owned my Ranger for very long and was trying to find out the difference in mine compaired to the newer versions and the main difference to lets say a FX4 level II, ( I have a 2000 XLT 4X4/OFF road pkg / 3.0 with auto and 4.10 in the rear, and all the skid plates ). If anyone has a spare FX4 4x4 shift boot and bezel laying around, i will buy it off you as soon as possible. Also, i did the 02 FX4's come with the torsion limited slip?

nope its a gen 4...gen 3 was from 93-97

I had it in mine sounds relly nice for only being 290 watts!!
Also is great to have if you add sub because all the wires are sitting there waiting for you to rob their signal made put my amp and sub in way cheaper

I know this thread is dealing with 01+ but ive always wondered why my 2000 xlt doesnt have power windows or locks, just wondering if anyone had any info.

yea but it says 2003-2005 but its an option on any year fx4

My B. In Mexico they have true 4 door rangers... having one of those would be AMAZING! I hate only having two actually useable seats.
