the pictures of the fx4 gauges are wrong unless my 02 Fx4 got a gauge replacement from an xlt. i have the primarily black setup but an Fx4. how bout that?

Fx4's ARE XLT's.....'02 Fx4's and XLT's got the same plain jane black cluster with black radio bezel and vinyl door panel fabric.

I didn't think it was a 5spd auto since it only shows three positions for forward gears on the indicator. I know the old AOD trans used to be similar in that you didn't have manual control over 3rd gear. Thanks for the info. This is a very good thread to learn from. Thanks to everyone for the replies.
My Ford Diesel van showed all gears 1,2,3,D on the indicator and od was on the gear shift. That's what threw me off.

3-4-5 is D. You have control over 5th by that little button on the shift arm.

Thank you for the SLP Thunderbolt information. I recently purchased a 2003 level 3 Red Ranger Thunderbolt with 47K miles and I have been trying to find out how many were built in that year, with that color and trim package.
On-line searches turned up nothing and a call to SLP, Toms River, NJ (732) 240-3696 was very disappointing. Please supply any production figures you may have or any suggestions on where to look. Thanks.

My XL has the 3.0 v6, your list only has the 2.3 up there.
