What's the number one thing that is worth buying for your truck that gives it better gas mileage?

i like my flashpaq tuner

i picked up 2-6 per gallon depending on what tune i use, the weather(colder air=slightly better milage), the roads(lotsa ice=spinny tires=worse milage, and letting it warm up kills gas milage), and how i drive(if im doing stoplight sprints or just cruising and town vs highway).

Rangers are simply not good on gas unless you have a 2wd 4 banger

As noted, driving behaviors are the biggest contributor on stock vehicles and an Ultraguage/Scangage device will help you learn about your vehicles response to changes in your driving. You can do things to improve aerodynamics with a tonneau cover and perhaps exhaust flow with an aftermarket solution. Also noted, the tuner can revise the default settings in the computer to be more efficient with driving characteristics.

I4s are the best on gas and the best in class. V6s are about the same from manufacturer to manufacturer I guess, but this would need better clarification.
