In 2005 bought a brand new Tacoma with all the bells and whistles. My first pick-up (I'm 61) and used it to move to NC. But after move sold it because it was too big! Not a great turning radius and parking was a bitch.
2003 Ranger is smaller and fits me MUCH better! But good luck with your new ride!

Very nice Christian...I knew it would happen eventually. But stick around, maybe you can be the lucky one next snow trip to pull everyone out!

i actually have a very poor relationship with my father and havent talked to him in several years. and the rest of my family drives imports. except my uncle who has a chevy. hell my mom has a honda. i do what i feel based on my own opinion not what im told to think. i do know that american companies like ford still out source but id still rather buy from an american ran company then something else. and your right you have the ability to choose what you want to buy and i am not opposed to that in any way.

I like your truck. Hopefully it treats you well. Has Toyota fixed the frame rot problem on the Tacos or not?
I too, respect almost all manufactures, short of a couple. But I probably will not buy a "foreign" for long time, maybe never again unless I find a super good deal on some beater. In my opinion, domestics and imports are all pretty much equal with a few exceptions on each side. If you take care of the vehicle and maintain it, it will last. Just when it does break down, it will cost more to repair the foreign car vs. the domestic. I had a Subaru for about a year and a half and I always usually had to have parts ordered from the parts stores, and they were generally more expensive than a similar domestic part for the most part. Hence this is the reason that I will most likely not own another foreign car.

Ever since then I have been using 4 straps instead of 2 so it doesn't move much. The Taco is going to be tricky since the attachment points are on that rail system.

For the rear straps could you hook down to the tailgate latches or maybe go down to near frame somewhere?

Well it has D rings at the back of bed floor.
I would have to use that strap down point on the rail for the front.

ah got it...that kind sucks that they wouldn't have something a little stronger up front for a tie down.

Tell me about it. I have to add some D rings up front. The rail system should be fine though. It can handle 220lbs of pull.
