Rangers outsold Mustangs in 2011!
So turns out that Ford sold more Rangers in 2011 than they did Mustangs!! Crazy!

A couple things I'd like to mention. First, auto sales are determined by when the dealership takes possession and not when you or I purchase a new vehicle. This is important because the customer gets the vehicle "after it has already been sold". Second, the Ranger got discontinued because of "lack of demand" (acc. to Ford), and the last couple years the Ranger only accounted for 30,000 vehicle sales per year (give or take). So, if evidence indicates that more Mustangs than Rangers were sold, and the economy is still "rebuilding" or "in a slump" depending on who one talks to, then yes I find it hard to believe that a discontinued vehicle is selling more than a popular sports car.

I know I might come off as a smart alleck but the average Ranger sales in the past 6 years (2006+) was approx 55,000 a year. (give or take)
