Well, because you don't know me, I will help you out. Just so you know, I retired from FORD MOTOR COMPANY after 30 YEARS back in 2007 so maybe, just maybe, I am educated in the companies plans. I really hate it when someone that doesn't have opinions similar to mine will condemn me and accuse me of not being a Ford employee. I would never do that to someone I know nothing about.

That's nice. Unless you spent those 30 years in their marketing and strategic planning departments, you're employment there is meaningless. I worked in a hospital for 10 years... hold still while I demonstrate open heart surgery on you. I don't care if you worked for Ford. The people who make those decisions still know more than you.

Well, I guess you know what opinions are like right? So I guess I should lower myself to your standards and tell you that until you know for a fact what I did at Ford you should keep yours to yourself.

When you work for large national companies (that are doing it right) you will know the marketing plans. If you pay attention long enough, you can put together a fairly accurate idea of where the company is wanting to go. This, of course, depends on how well that company communicates the direction it is going. That said, you cant be a "here for the paycheck" type of employee to understand anything that is communicated to you , because you just wont care.

And to be truthful, all I did here was to inform everyone about how the media lit the execs up. I don't know where all this attitude came from.

I think it was the title of your thread that brought out the villagers that carry torches and pitchforks.
Seems no one is allowed to even whisper a mention of the US Ranger being discontinued without consequences.

I thought what you posted was interesting, and wish I could have been a fly on the wall to hear Ford execs trying to deflect the questions.
Which I imagine were along the lines of,
"What are you smokin' over there at Ford HQ?"

Alright kids, let's take our hardass helmets off for a second and let the man think things through. All of you guys know what it was like when you were new to forums. I don't care who you are, or how long you've been on forums. There WAS a time where you didn't know how forums worked, or the "man laws" that seem to accompany them.

Please, save your hardass helmets for the HID threads, or the Lambo door threads.
