My grandfather, the original owner of the ranger died december 4th. Now we have his 2000 4runner over here getting it ready to sell, and already have a poetical buyer. But not that I am a toyota fan, but having all that interior space and power everything sure would be nice. I already made a thread on this like a month ago and everyone told me to keep the ranger. It has right at twice the mileage as my ranger and needs some work done, like belts and shocks. Its fuel efficiency may be a smige better as well. But its just sitting out there tempting me.

If I did sell my ranger I was thinking $5,900 with the tool box and $5,800 without, does that sound fair?

What do you think of the price for the Ranger?

When the ranger was new it was $17,300 out the door.

When the 2000 4runner was new it was over $36,000.

Now the Ranger could go for a few hundred more than the 4runner according to KBB.

if its the 3.4L in that yota go for it! those motors never die!! dads tundra with the 3.4 has over 170k with no problems. while my 3.0 with 119k has had about every dam oem part replaced already with more problems starting up this week. buddy's tacoma "a real pre-runner" 1999 has over 225k miles on his 3.4 and he beats the fuck out of it!!! redlines it every time he takes it out! jumps it, floors it and its still running strong. and the only problem he had on that thing was the boots ripped on the 4x4 shafts. which made the front diff fluid poor out. coil spacers did that to it though. once a ranger hits 100k its mostly downhill from there. thats what I've seen with the rangers. but its your truck. do what you will but I'm just throwing in my 2 cents because if i had a chance to grab a yota that i know was taken care of i would be all over it! because I'm tired of having a problem with my truck all the fucking time!!
