Flannel upholstery completed!
Hey everyone, a few months ago I mentioned I was planning a DIY flannel upholstery design project. Well, I just finished it up and it looks good for a first timer. The fabric is strong and the colors work very well with the existing interior colors. Take a look from the link below:

Re: Flannel upholstery completed!
It does look like a wel done job. I'm not sure on the pattern but the workmanship looks good. What does the rest of the truck look like? If you have an '80's Ranger with saddle blanket seat/bench covers, it would probably go very well together.
EDIT: I see you have a 2001. Oh well. It still looks like you did the job right.

I agree but I also gotta wonder if you lost a bet while drunk or something. Do the seats and then I'll be impressed....

Oh God No!!! Just messin' with ya though. It is your truck so if this trips your trigger then that's all that matters. You putting flannel on your door panels actually made my day.

Re: Flannel upholstery completed!
not my cup of tea, but it looks good. nice job keeping the pattern straight. color matches the plastic well. what did you use to attach it? did you pull the panel off and wrap around the back side? how did you reattach the panel to the door panel?

Re: Flannel upholstery completed!
drppdyllwrngr: I used 3M Super 77 Multipurpose Adhesive spray to attach the flannel. I simply took the door panel off and yanked out the part of the panel that I wanted to mask. It was difficult because that covered piece is glued from the factory, so I had to be careful and patient with it. Then the flannel was ironed, measured and glued on by the 3M adhesive. I simply got that part of the panel snug with the existing door panel and hot glued it back together for a tight fit. It can be tedious but it's not a tough project overall. It's definitely different, though!

Re: Flannel upholstery completed!
I dig it. Not sure I would choose a flannel pattern but it does go good with you interior.
BTW, where did you find my shirt? I've been looking everywhere for it.
