Default Engine Overcooling?

I recently replaced my radiator and thermostat since then I've experienced engine overcooling. So much so that I didn't know I had a problem with the engine until it blew up. Anyway I replaced my engine and the thermostat(again) as well as a myriad of other unrelated parts. I'm still having the same issue. I thought it may be the temperature switch but it's registering some temp increase but not near enough. Please help!

Motor Size
Transmission Type
Brand of Thermostat

All information we will want.

Also, you said you replaced the engine? Due to overcooling? Does not sound right to me.

You lost a motor to"overcooling" in GA? Maybe Alaska or Siberia.... Did you get confused and put gear oil in your crank case instead of motor oil? That would make it too thick to lubricate the motor...

This entire description makes absolutely no sense. Engines don't blow up from being under operating temperature. If your engine blew up, it wasn't because of alleged over cooling. It was because of something else you had done wrong.

The only way an engine will not reach operating temperature is a malfunctioning thermostat. All other conditions will allow it to warm up and/or overheat.

no engine ever blew up from being under cooled. maybe won't start if in fridgid temps, but it won't "blow up"

It's my understanding that using to heavy an oil for too cold a climate can cause the engine to be starved of oil in the time between start and reaching operating temperature, but he doesn't live in climate that would be cold enough to cause that. I'm calling BS..

Sorry I thought I was descriptive. Ok well its a 2000 ford ranger(obviously) 2.5L stick shift I don't recall the brand of thermostat. It was a different brand each time I do know that. anyway it wasn't the overcooling that blew up my engine it was the fact that the temp gauge didn't register that it was probably overheating. I blew a head gasket and fried the pistons. Ultimately resulting in me replacing the engine. Now having said that my new current engine is also not heating up. I'm worried the same thing may be happening. I hope this helps clear up a few points. If you have anything else you need to help me solve my problem please let me know

Replace your coolant temperature sensor.

Could the new engine be running fine but the temp gauge is not working making you think its not reaching operating temp? Just a thought
