So I'm going through my truck checking for vacuum leaks and trying to cancel out any reasons for my rough idle. Its slight, but it threw a P0136 code. Replaced the O2 sensors, now I'm realizing I should've check the truck for vacuum leaks first but oh well. Anyways, I want to clean the EGR valve because I'm sure its got a decent amount of gunk on it since I've never cleaned it. I know where its located just want to make sure I don't break anything. I take the wire/hose off the top, unscrew the one bolt attaching it (that I can see), and then do I just pull or screw it off the pole its sitting on? Thanks for you help guys.
