You'd be surprised how many are still sitting new around the US at Ford Dealerships... If yours does not have it, they will ship another from around the U.S. for free to your location... my fatyher had to do that for the one that he found in Texas, online... they shipped it to a dealership like 5 miles from our house here in Atlanta, Georgia. I truly doubt that they will run out of the 2011 rangers till near the near end of next year.

Yeah i have like 10 ford dealerships within 30 miles of me. and all PACKED full of rangers

Because the things never seem to wear out! We just havn't had the need to purchase a new one lol.

An expert is someone who knows everything about something they've never done before.

One dealership near me has 28 Rangers.

They are plentiful, but in 2002 the estimated sales for the ranger was 262,000 units.

For 2011 60,000+ units.

2002 was the last refreshment for the ranger. If they would have kept making it better, they could still be selling 200,000 + units a year. That 200,000 costumers didn't go to the f150, they went to the competitors.

It seems alot of Ranger owners tend to keep their trucks, do their own fixes, and keep it on the road, instead of getting rid of it and dumping money into a newer and bigger truck,the f150. I am sure this forum has helped lots of Rangers stay on the road!!

When something does wear out or break, alot of us turn to the forums for help and getting it fixed.

So that sure has to contribute to the decline in Ranger sales.

A guy at work who is mechanically experienced, had like a 2002 Monte Carlo ss, with 118k on it and says his struts and ball bearings are going out, so he and his wife are going to trade it in for a newer vehicle.
I'm like dude, you have the tools and the mechanic experience to do such repairs yourself, just fix it and keep it.

The Ranger plant in St. Paul, MN is closed for the following reasons:
1. FORD dumps all their time and money into the F-150 they want to force us to buy that.
2. Sales of the Ranger plummited, for reason #1. And because alot of Ranger owners work hard to keep their Rangers running and running strong, and don't have a need to trade up just because their ranger is over 10yrs old!!!
