How do yall mount your bikes? I'm debating between keeping my bike mounted in the bed or getting a tow hitch mount.

I don't, I just throw it in the back. I used to have one of those racks that goes on the back hitch receiver, and it was just in the way.

Or you could buy some of these and build your own mounting system.


Just throwing them in the bed also depends on the type of bike. Is it a cheap but sturdy $300 one or is it a $5,000 wonder made with thin, and delicate carbon fiber.

i have a dakine tailgate cover and i put the fork over it, stays there really nicely...unless its a road bike then i need a rack for the rear tire (5 bikes)

Yea I was thinking I could screw some fork mounts to a 2x4 and call it good... that would be like $25

i recommend a bigger wood for more weight, it doesnt take a whole lot to make the bikes roll back lol

I used something like that but it was made by rocky mounts. It was lighter than a 2x4 and didn't move around to need to add weight. I do have a bed liner which may have helped
