Default 2.3 liter viberation

I have a 2008 (27,000km) with a 2.3l and have what I would say is to much viberation with the motor. This motor has not been smooth from the begining. The dealer says this is normal. What is the consensus from other 4 cylinder owners. Thanks Barry

In the Ranger, the balence shafts that the Focus and the Mazda3 get were deleted, and the motor does vibrate a bit. If the vibration bothers you, maybe you should have bought a Cadillac. In the truck platform, NVH is not a big deal like it is in cars, because it's a work vehicle. I hate when people complain that their truck is "truck like".

Most likely if you feel it is vibrating a bit too much then I would have to say run some fuel system cleaner with alcohol to remove and water from your fuel. Other than that if there is an issue it should throw a code with so few miles any other symptoms? Good luck.
A good way to make it not so obvous is to drive faster.

I love it. My favorite method right there!

I pull trailers, and regularly load my truck to capacity. It's a truck. Lowering it hasn't hurt it's ability to be one. And rims just look good.

I read online a vehicle test where the Ranger got poor marks because of it's "truck like ride". Just kinda sets me off when people want a truck, but don't want a truck.
