At least 75% of recently (within 15 years, I believe) made cars have a little domestic in them. America produces the most efficient, cheapest alternators for almost every vehicle type.

Umm Ricer?

No.

my 2002 Sonata was far from being ricer

Have you ever owned a Hyundai?

Anywho. The line is pretty thin these days between domestic and import now a days. We have Japanese Automakers with factories in N-A and American factories overseas. Each car has a japanese this, a chinese that and a little american. So who cares about buying a home brewed American car cause I support my country. Either way your money is going to some fat bloke with a cheesy tie that makes millions a year and onyl cares about profit and what secretary to bang. Toyota, Ford, GM, Hyundai, Tata, Holden, Rover, its all the same in the end. Just buy what you like.

I dont' think i could agree with you more. A cars a car, trucks a truck, they all do the same thing. Everyone has their opinions on what they like. Like me for instance, i don't care for chevy/gmc. there is no reason why i don't like them, never owned one, but for some reason i just don't like GMC products. Im sure they are good vehicles but i wouldn't buy one unless I'm Forced to. lol

In the US, many Toyota vehicles produce more American jobs than Ford or GM. Buy what you like to drive!!!! I love my Ford Ranger and Chevy Blazer!!!

the only way i can see hyundai being considered "domestic" is that they have a factory in Alabama. Next to Subaru and Mercedez Benz. Every BMW X3 in the world was assembled in the USA. The key word is assembled. All the parts are cast by Indians and Chinese, shipped to the USA and then put into the vehicles. Truely American-Made cars cease to exist. So I think everything is Domestic and Import. But the decision is based on the Brands main HQ.

I like my ranger, I really like the F150 with the ecoboost. Ill probaly aim for one of those for my next truck or a nissan frontier. I am the only one in my family that actually likes ford. My mom and dad like Dodge truck and Honda/Toyota cars, My sister like VW's (she wants an old rabbit really bad). I get alot of crap for my F.O.R.D. LOL but i love it (most days).

Fiat bought so you're sure it's all made in Italy! Obvious, joke!
I fully agree with you, now it is just assembler, but constructors!
The same generator is installed on 30 types of cars, with the same engine and same chassis, 10 models sold under different brand names!

I think what you are searching for something called the "American made index" Here is a list of this years winners......

1. Toyota Camry (last ranking 1)
2. Honda Accord (last ranking 2)
3. Chevy Malibu (last ranking 5)
4. Ford Explorer (no last ranking)
5. Honda Odyssey (last ranking 6)
6. Toyota Sienna (last ranking 10)
7. Jeep Wrangler (last ranking 9)
8. Chevy Traverse (no last ranking)
9. Toyota Tundra (last ranking 8)
10. GMC Acadia (no last ranking)

----------

The Hyundai Tuscon is one of the least made American cars.....only 1% of it is built in the USA,,,,

I am not a fan of Gm products either. I owned a 1999 Pontiac Grand Am SE and its was POS and I am not a fan of Gms new products in terms looks, engine, etc
