I'd rather either buy used and fix it up a bit. And the new overseas ranger looks like a rolling turd to me. It's beyond ugly.

Yes, Ford hates the american customer with money. They want you to buy a new F150, and trade in your pretty Ranger for $1000.00 (if that much)-that;s why the landshark, ummm salesman likes it so much. Read the link, and weep, Ford don't care.

Re: No 2012 Rangers???????????????
But the new Ranger also sell to you? I understand you correctly?
And I think I just realized that you do not like!
I have a 2.5TD Duratorq that have mounted up to date and I can say it is a good engine, certainly has nothing to do with your gasoline!
Here in Italy I could compare it with the various Mitsubishi L200, Nissan and Toyota Hilux, and I can tell you that looks good even at full load.
Then, compare it to yours, I would not know!
Of course here in Europe, the new 5-cylinder will 3.2td her figure! From you, the diesel seems to me not so interested!

You got that right. Here's more proof. All you have to do is count how many F150 commercials you see on tv within an hour or two and it will become very clear to anyone that Ford shoves F150's down people's throats. You'd figure that they learned their lesson when gasoline went so high that they couldn't give an SUV away, but as usual Ford is about to screw the pooch yet again.

Pal it was obvious that everyone hates the new overseas ranger here in the states. Ford did hold an opinion pole and it failed miserably. It's ugly as sin, and its been clear to everyone here in the states that the F150's have pretty much destroyed the ranger market over here. You ask for a V8, 4x4, and they point to an F150. The dealers over here have been brain washed into trying to sell an F150 to anyone that comes into the lot looking to buy a truck. They've gotten so bad, that you have to look at any new truck at night when they're closed.

Re: No 2012 Rangers???????????????
Dont know why they dont go with a little 6 cyl diesel that you can switch two cylinders off while highway driving. Maybe a smaller version of the 7.3. Make it get 35+ mpg. May be a good little truck

That MDS wouldn't be too good of an idea, but I do like the idea of a diesel engine though.

This is a good discussion, but don't hold your breath waiting on Ford to do something about bringing the T6 platform to the USA.

Yes it is. Too bad it's an old topic though. I've got to change my calender and see what day the ranger gets retired. The date is 12/16/01 but I want to see if it's a monday or friday. I'm kindly hoping it's on a friday, and then we can truly call it "black friday", L.O.L.

So we can call this the true "Black Friday" now. I was wondering what day of the week it was. Have you seen any equipment being moved out by any chance?
