An inch or two makes a big difference in seating and leg room. That is why I was surprised that the Ranger had one inch more than the F-150. Another problem for leg room is the console. I own 3 vehicles and none have a console so my legs can swivel and stretch if you get my point. In my case I need as much as I can get because all my life I have not had the legroom I needed and I am paying the price with lower back and hip problems. A new Ranger would probably be my last vehicle so I do want a good degree of comfort.

Lol I feel that to, not in age but in distance you drive. When I go home for Christmas or spring break etc. Sitting in the truck 16 hours to get from Havre, to Back home south of Olympia I start hurting about 8 to 10 hours in. Then I'm sitting in all kinds of weird positions.

I just thought that was normal for any vehicle, lol! Drives my wife crazy on long trips.

My wife's Mountaineer kills me with the center console 'cause I stick my right leg so far out trying to fit in it. The extended cab in my Ranger makes all the difference, but it is how you sit and feel comfortable.

Bill,

I'm 6'4" with long arms and have no leg or arm room problems with my 03 super cab 4dr. I purchased this truck because it had the most keg room of any of the "smaller" trucks except it's twin Mazda.

How many kegs??
Actually to the gentleman being 6 foot plus who has plenty of leg room, do the back of your thighs lie flat on the seat or are they raised above it?
I guess the best thing I can do is go see a dealer. Sadly its been always a bad experience for me. I went to a Ford dealership a few years back looking at the Ranger when they had them advertised for a certain price. Of course he was not aware of that price even though the newspaper ad was on the wall in the office. He quoted me about 5 grand more. Then the sales manager came in, same price but was going to throw in a few extras for free. I really had a hard time leaving.

Dealers= idiots, who knows maybe they drink out of a keg all day! And to anyone that wants to know you can fit 2 kegs easily in the back of a Ranger cab lol. My legs point up a bit, but it really does depend on your body type. Shorter or longer legs, torso etc. Go try one, tell em all you are doing is looking and if you need their help you will let them know. And next time take the newspaper clipping in. They advertised it at that price you can get it at the price they listed. That way you can call them on their BS. I hate car dealers and most hate me. Because I know their tricks. I help friends buy lots of cars.

I presently own and drive 3 vehicles. Two are 29 years old and the third is 60. Yes 60! One reason I have been putting off buying new was because of the nickel and dimeing by the dealers. The second reason is that I can fix my vehicles myself. No computers, no EGR, no 02 sensors, etc.
My buddy took his new Ranger in for its first annual check up and walked out with a bill for close to $400! I thought these things had warranties so why the big (or any) charge?
Anyway I guess I am going off on a tangent here ranting about dealers.
