hello all.

today (11.11.11 go figure), i was on my way to school and crossed an icy bridge. next theing i knew i my truck was ****ed sideways about to hit a a guard rail, i stepped on the brakes, and turned the wheel but there was too much black ice, and it was already to late. i hit the guard rail and my truck was flipped on to its top before coming to a stop. when i realized what happened i quickly turned the key and shut the truck off.
i saw a hand knocking on my window, and i realized i better get out quickly. i undid my seat belt, and fell on my neck (remember the truck is upside down). i crawled so i could reach the door handle, and unrolled the window (manual , no electric). i proceeded to climb out of the truck and was greeted by bystanders, who were driving by. they told me to sit on the curb. Luckily i had my cell phone and called my parents who were on there way to a flight . 2 cop cars pulled up , (one skidding out of control becuase of ice).
when ambulance arrived i was put on a stretcher and sent in to the hospital as truama. (but that is another story.

as of now i am home, and in a lot of pain but ,thankfully, no major injuries!

As for the truck (03 4x4 edge ,my first vehicle), it is in the junk yard, totaled.

i am shaking writing this, and i am just thankful the roof held up the way it did, (only caved in 2 inches or so.)

i miss my truck already, and am shell shocked over the whole thing.

i will post pics when i get them to my computer, but i am going to take it easy for a few days.

holy shit. i was in a truck that hit black ice once while driving through a snow storm, but we just drifted into a small snow bank with no damage.

its good to read that you didn't get majorly hurt. a truck is way easier to replace than broken bones or other bodily damage.

I remember a snow storm there was 3-4 inches of well traveled snow on the surface I'm doing 35 going down a straight-away when all of a sudden without warning i'm doing a 360 and land up against the curb looking at oncoming traffic. This was snow not ice so i was totally surprized. Who knows maybe it was the wind like a sail that just sent me spinning. I agree it is scary as hell a real shell shocker when when you totally are at the mercy of your Ranger.
