Default 89 ford ranger fuel delivery problem?

runs fine, but Idle for 5 minutes, engine dies, wont restart without either a push start or 30 minutes wait. Starts slow in the morning, but starts fine the rest of the day. Starter fluid will start truck, but won't stay running. I can't leave the engine running, and long lights will kill the truck unless I race the engine. Engine begins missing then dies. Once missing starts, racing the engine kills it faster. Any ideas?
I suspect fuel filter, fuel relay, fuel pump, vapor lock, or small leak in fuel line. Help me eliminate possibilities.

Sound like weak fuel pump. The pump is located in the Gas tank and must be removed to replace.
