I have an engine block heater on my truck and was told not to many had them on rangers
Anyone else have one and used it?

Some of the trucks from the Northern United States come with them standard due to the extreme cold you guys get

You also probably have a battery warmer tied into it the block heater

Never seen 'em on a non-diesel. That's cool, although I've never had trouble starting my gas engines in sub-zero temperatures....

I put one in my truck. They are great things. Montana, northern Washington, Northern Idaho, the Dakotas, Alaska, Wisconsin, Minnesota, the New England area, they all have em in abundance. I put a pan heater on my tranny too. It howled like a girl missing out on a sale at Macy's. At 20 below they are a god send. But they do increase your power bill.

I was surprised mine didn't have one as it was a Boston truck before coming to SoCal.

Diesels don't need to be plugged in till around 0, at least in my experience. I'm further north than you to though. I'm 45 min from Canada, you can spit over it in some peoples backyards here.
