Re: powder coating
... ...There's more to just baking the paint. The powder coat is applied electrostatically...

Re: powder coating
They sell powder coating kits. But they are not as good as a "professional" job.

Re: powder coating
the place we use hangs all the parts, then washes them in different solutions that etch the metal, then rinse with de-ionized water. from there, it can either be primered or straight coated, then baked.
the coat goes on as a powder, and it was so loud in there that i couldn't properly hear the guy talking, but essentially they charge the powder either positive or negative, the part the opposite charge, and then the powder sticks to the metal and the baking process makes it tough as shit.

Re: powder coating
Just remember that powder coating holds up better than paint but it can still chip.... dealing with lugs I wouldn't be surprised if you get some defects just on the reinstallation

Re: powder coating
it would definatley make ya some money im sure tons of guys on here would pay 4 parts 2 b pc i know i would and i much rather give money 2 a fellow rangerist than a over priced money hungry shop....btw if u get 1 and do ur lug nuts let me know how they turn out im almost tempted 2 buy 1 just 4 this specific reason lol
