Default Fuel pressure

Just picked up an 98 2.5, 5 speed

Hard , very hard starting, changed fuel filter, and fluids

Checked fuel pressure, key on 19-20 lbs, running 20-21 lbs and off immediately goes to "0".

What should operation pressure be?

Where to buy fuel pump, (oreilly, ford,)?

Best procedure to change fuel pump?

Thanks

i believe fuel pressure should be about 65lbs. buy one at any auto parts store.... and easiest way is to raise/take off the bed and change it that way.....

As far as prices, just depends on if you need just a pump or the entire module assembly. Just pumps run anywhere from $60-$150 and assemblies even higher. I dont know how other parts stores do their warranties but at O'Reilly (work there) if you have a receipt showing proof that you recently changed the filter they will give you our 1yr warranty (with purchase of strainer for "just pump" purchases). The 1yr warranty is for both Airtex and Delphi pumps.
