FX, those are the people that are complete posers, it's classic isn't it? Seeing vehicles all jacked up for offroad use with all the accessories and they have never been off road, and the driver wouldn't have a clue how to safely use a winch or spot a vehicle.

^^Don't always gotta buy a new one.... used warns are pretty cheap! barely used ones too! Craigslist FTW. (at least around here.....warn industries is a whopping 10 minute drive from my house! still trying to get a hook up from an employee...too bad for all the recent lay offs).

Yeah John...I'd like a hilift for self recovery when I need it....good thing I got friends with winches right?!? And proper front and rear recovery points! If I had a hi-lift, I can only use it on the rear hitch! Otherwise, I'd be a poser with a hi-lift with no sliders and no tube or plate bumpers. lol.

Not familiar with my truck are you? lol.

I'm not too comfortable with a hi-lift on my front hitch. Mostly because if it slips, there goes my grille. lol. Valence and bumper too.

Eventually I'll have a plate bumper and hidden winch plus sliders and a rear bumper. But for now, I'll try to keep damage to a minimum. She cleans up nicely. lol.

Indeed I've seen Chris' truck. Too bad it's in the phillipines or jamaca or something now. I really dug his bumper and I've got the peoples info who made it sitting on a tablet of paper for when I'm ready to do it. His bumper was about the perfect one for what I want.

Default Front mounted reciver hitch

Drawtite/Reese make a front mounted reciever (trailer hitch) for most Rangers. You can then purchase a Warn cradle mounted winch that slides into the front receiver. The advantage of this system is that when not needed you can store the winch and even use it on another truck (with proper wiring)
