Default 4cyl svo ?

I was thinking one day, how gnarly it would be to have a old 2.3 mustang svo turbo in a ranger, would that mount right up to the newer 2.3's. If that was possiable i would love to see that. I have heard that those 4cyl can run with the 5.0 foxes. [YT]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_8YEuqs2UCk[/YT] thought that this video was pretty cool.

It won't work on the 2.3L Duratech engines(as it's a totally different engine)....but it would on the older 2.5L and 2.3L lima engines. There's a forum dedicated solely to 2.3T swaps and other turbo swaps....TurboRangerForum.com.

With minor bolt ons, seeing 300hp to the ground isn't uncommon.

I'd love to build me one one of these days....infact, my little brother has a Super Coupe 2.3T on my engine stand in the shop for his future turbo 2.3.

I think it'd be nearly impossible to find a 2.3t to swap i haven't seen one for a reasonable price. I haven't even seen on in person, I do live in the most boring city in Ohio but i guess it is possible

I find a Tbird supercoupe(2.3T) on almost every junkyard trip I go on.... at least around here, those cars are somewhat plentiful and in all reality, you only want what's inside the block on those. Forged rods and pistons. As well as the turbo header.

Stock parts work, but are not the best to use for a good power setup. All I'd run is forged internals, a 97ish 2.3L block, a tubular coated turbo header, and a 2.5 head port and polished. Probably a T3 T4. Turbos can be had off ebay for dirt cheap.

Check out TRF. Tons of info to be found.

Ya Newark doesn't have much nothing but contours and neons.it would probably be better to put a old school turbo'd probe motor in it there pretty much a dime a dozen.

^^I hear that's a somewhat common thing to happen with some boost and not using head studs.

I want to do one for the pure fact of pulling 30mpgs when off the throttle and 12-13 second quarters when on it. Plus.....scaring some STi's in the process on the street! All while keeping a somewhat stock appearence on the outside.

The guy who owns it was at a ranger meet one time. He took off and spun the tires through every gear. I believe he has the thunderbird 5 speed transmission also
