Post Back Brakes/Tires Locking

Alright one day at work I was getting ready to leave and realized my truck wasnt going anywhere. What I think had happened was the brakes locked up... We rocked the truck back and forth forever and then we just started it up and slammed it in reverse and it just popped out and worked fine from there. Anyone ever have this problem or know what went wrong? Sorry probably didn't explain it very well.

i went through a shit ton of water one day and had my rear brakes do that. Just drive it around a while and hit the breaks it should clear it out. My guess is they rust and get stuck on the drum but idk.

Yes, I had that happen to me, and I know exactly what your talking about. My 04 Ranger 4 * 4 had a known issue with back brakes prematurely wearing. Anyway, the discs in the back wear prematurely and lock. There really isn't any solution or fix except for getting new brakes.

Yea, the stock shoes and drums are really crappy. When it comes time to replace them, get the aftermarket ones.
other than that. just break them free, drive slow and brake until it works fine again.

i've had the same problem, usually when i back into someplace after driving all over after rain and that. I've jumped on the back of the truck a few times on the bumper and it would stop doing it. anytime i would put on the brakes it would lock up and squeal the tires.
