Default Try a REAL Headlamp Upgrade...

The problem with most older vehicles is the increased resistance in the wiring harness causing a voltage drop to your headlamps. A voltage drop of .5 volts can degrade performance by 30%. Install a relay system to power your Headlights, this will give full voltage to your lights and keep your switch from dying. Install Quality headlamps from a reputable manufacturer, add the relays and aim your headlights, the improvement is amazing.

Most older vehicle headlight reflectors do not have the correct pattern for HID bulbs increasing off-pattern glare, same with "cool" cheap blue headlamps. True HIDs require a different reflector/lens assembly from halogens.
