Re: Unknown Problem
UPDATE: I bought the sea-foam and put the Bottle in my gas tank, and started it up Last night and this morning and drove to school, store etc.. And I can still here the Rattling noise. I'm thinking something is loose or something.. Because that's what it sounds like. I just don't know what.
Anymore Advice, TIPS, or ANYTHING that you may think could cure this problem. Please, Reply with your knowledge.

Well, yeah. I was thinking that. But, from the noise.. It doesn't seem like the sea-foam would cure what I'm hearing. But, then again I've never used sea-foam and don't know what it's capable of. But, I did read the back Description.

It would really help if you could tell us exactly what the rattling is actually coming from, and what type of rattling you are hearing.
----------
Does it rattle with the truck off when you push the gas peddle? Or just with the truck turned on under acceleration?
I have a rattle coming from what I believe to be my trans, but hard to tell for sure. I think it might be the clutch on mine, but everything still works fine and the rattling hasn't gotten worse over the past few months, so I am not too worried about it.

Also, it does not rattle when the truck is in park, or Neutral when the gas pedal is being pressed. Only in drive.
The rattling noise sounds like a metal coat hanger rattling on other metal. This sounds occurs only when the gas metal in being pressed down to Accelerate. Nothing else, just when it's being pressed down. It does not rattle with the truck is off. only when truck is on in motion.

so it only rattles when the truck is under a load...sounds like carbon build up

Re: Unknown Problem
What the above poster is saying is that it sounds like it is coming from your engine, not from the peddle itself, which I agree with.
The seafoam might help, let it run its course.
By chance, if the car is in neutral, and you have the hood popped, if you rev the engine up by turning/moving the hinge on the throttle body, does it make the same sound?
Try that and let us know.
Could also be a small exhaust leak. Try what I posted above and if it makes the sound still, let us know. Will be a lot easier to pinpoint the sound then.

Re: Unknown Problem
Yeah, I've been told that. That's actually the only actual answer I have gotten.

Re: Unknown Problem
Rev it up from the engine bay in neutral with the parking brake on and let us know if it still rattles.

Re: Unknown Problem
For the love of god its the gas pedal.
Its either the spring on the top of the petal or the cable. The reason it rattles is because the engine at certain speed is vibrating at the spring or cables harmonic frequency. I've noticed doing the throttle cable mod helped a tad.

UPDATE: I rev-ed up the truck from the engine and did not hear any rattling. I had my girlfriend sit in the truck and see if she heard it from the inside, but she heard nothing. It's strictly with the gas pedal It seems. Well, and only when it's in drive.

Re: Unknown Problem
Sounds like it's only doing it under load. Possibly something with the trans or carbon sound under load.
