2013 Chevrolet Colorado - is Ford listening?
http://www.caranddriver.com/news/car...orado-car_news
For years, ranger owner have asked for more cab space, more power, more refinement and a diesel in the US market. Ford has ignored us and shut down the ranger altogether. I see some Ranger owners switching to the Colorado because it seems Chevy has listened

Not liking the traverse/equinox style front end too much but wow 26 different trim, body, powertrain, etc. combinations is nice.

the sport trac isnt a midsize truck cause it fails in the truck deptartment since its bed is as lacking as G.W bush's lighterature-lygerature-literature skills

Chevy owners can keep that piece of shit.
These threads are getting so old.
The Ranger is dead, quit crying about it

Re: 2013 Chevrolet Colorado - is Ford listening?
that cheby is ugle as shit, dont even look like a truck, park a 1st gen ranger next to it, and it doesnt even compare looks wise.
Trucks are supposed to be rugged, capable, workhorses, not a Malibu with a bed.

2 things:
I've seen my first ranger tv ad in 10 years last week (more or less, could be more though). Since ford announced it "killed" the ranger, it seems that it's in every media here now. And not just every type of ad, a full on special effects with denis leary in the background voice.
--Nice--
Also, if i had been offered a colorado with similar equipment for the same price, or a slightly higher price, i don't think i would even have considered the ranger. But since ford was desperate, here i am. I have lived to regret it many times, while my brother never had a single issue with his gmc. I can safely say from personal experience that the "cheapest" made truck of the two is not the gm.
Pn: Always hated the colorado's headlight configuration lol

Re: 2013 Chevrolet Colorado - is Ford listening?
Just to clarify those who think this thread a sob story about the ranger being dead, Its not. As clearly stated it just means that Chevy is coming out with a truck (minus the looks) that many of us wanted the Ranger to be. If your tired of these threads about "oh no, the ranger is dying what are we going to do???" then join the club. If youre going to get flustered about something YOU misunderstood, then thats your loss, not mine.
Please Note this thread is about a truck that can be had with a auto/manual, Gas/diesel single/club/crew cab configs. Reader discrection is advised.

Re: 2013 Chevrolet Colorado - is Ford listening?
This is good for everyone. It will make other companies now have to step up their game and compete against Chevy if it does bring it over to the states; especially if they bring the diesel over. I would like to see a 6 speed manual however.

another valid point. other companies will have to step up if the Colorado comes out with even just 1 diesel instead of 2.
X2 on the 6 spd part as well
