Default No Double Cab Ranger in usa ?

I have looked at many pictures of very cool Rangers here at this forum, but all the trucks have a single or extra cab. No double cabs at all. Here in Hungary most Rangers ar double cabs, but we also have the singele and extra cabs. A member from the UK also has a double cab.
Isn't a double cab much more practical ?

This is the one I mean:

The double cab version of the US ranger is only available in mexico. I suppose ford think if people want more seats they can buy the f150.
I suppose you got the same rangers in Hungary as we got in the UK, built in Fords autoalliance factory in Thailand like the ones in this thread.
Ranger history in the UK

I wish we got the double cabs here in the US. I would kill for a double cab with a diesel.

Is the explorer sport trac based on a ranger? They look like good trucks.

Yes. If anything, the Explorer Sport Trac IS the U.S. Spec 'double cab' ranger. We got a sport trac, everybody else got 4 full size doors on a ranger.

2010 is the last year of the Sport Trac. I fully expect the next gen ranger stateside, will have 4 full size doors.

I think the next gen will be a global model that'll be the same model built in all ford plants worldwide.

The rumor as I know it at the moment is that they will be bringing the same ranger to the states that is sold worldwide. So we probably will finally get a four door ranger. I just want them to offer a manual, a v8 or a diesel too

he's talkin about the newer ones based on the IRS explorer, the first sport tracs were based on the same chassis as the explorer and ranger right? then the explorer got redesigned with independent suspension all around, the new sport trac is bascially the same, that sound about right?

^^indeed. That's what I assumed he was talking about. Ever since the beginning, the explorers and bII's were RBV's(Ranger based vehicles). Then in 02 the new Explorer was intro'd to be totally different than a Ranger, but still produced the Tracs and Sports on the Ranger frame iwth the same old body til like 06? Then the last gen of trac was introduced based on the 02+ explorer chassis.
