To much snow and salt. My city actually used more salt then they had last year. We get 60-80 inches a year and every time it snows, even a little, Salt...hell half the time they don't even plow, just throw some salt down and call it good.

Re: Discuss: Alternatives to the ranger?
I would go with either a explorer sport trac or a 4 door dodge dakota.

Didn't know that. In that case, I would get either a sport trac or a chevy colorado/gmc canyon.

Re: Discuss: Alternatives to the ranger?
Do you really think a stock pickup would be able to push a sand rail up a dune?
----------
That truck would have got stuck SOOOOO fast.

No where did it say stock, neither did i say stock. Im just saying out of the most recent truck comericals ive seen, that one seem the most possible.

You never said stock, but this is a commercial for a brand new vehicle. You don't see commercials for Mustangs running 10 second 1/4 mile runs, do you?

Nissan is the only company making commercials like this at the moment, so there is no comparison. It even looks fake, its poorly done. The way the truck stops right before it starts to push the sand rail, then starts back up without a hick up. It is in no way realistic.

Good point, i just thought it was cool. Nissan frontiers are built for off roading. I get what your saying, im still having a hard time with ford and their eco boost v6...22mpg isn't that impressive, my dads dakota gets 21-22 with a v8.

Other then that fact, unless they are bringing the baja back, i would certainly look in to one, i do think they are cool, i have seen them around town, if i could get one with a 5 speed...dam
