Hmmm... My next truck will most likely be an F-150... But if I was to look at another smaller truck I really like the toyota tacomas and chevy colorados

My only problem with the Tacoma is the frame issue, Living in the mid west , rust is defiantly an issue. but id defiantly give them a look.

I am also considering an F150. My buddy had a 2002 Sonoma ext cab 4x4 and traded it for a 2005 F150 ext cab 4.6. He says he will never own a small pickup again. If I do get an F150 it HAS to have the 5.4 though(unless I have the money for the new 5.0 or Ecoboost, but that's unlikely in the near future). The 4.6 is under powered for that truck.

Im trying to stick with the small/mid sized because of living in a fairly large city. All i hear from my friends with full sized trucks is how hard it is to drive them in a city.

Might be one of the recall trucks, My uncles tacoma is like a 2000 I think and they put a new frame on it for him last year that was worth more then the truck itself lol

So why not buy the truck brand new and POR-15 the hell out of it? Seems like it would take care of the problem!

Id love to have a bigger truck next because I want to start a small farm and I hunt a lot and would get good use out of it... But at the moment I'm commuting 35 minutes a day to school and 35 minutes back every day, so ranger was the only way to go for me... I'll never get rid of it though, Run it until it cant go no more is my plan lol

I have heard alot of good things about Toyota customer service. i guess when and if i ever decide to get a new truck, it'll all come down to value of what im getting for my money.

haha that would most likely solve the problem haha, but you think Toyota could do that to save the hassle from the beginning, then it costing them so much to replace the frames haha.

My uncles said they put pretty much a 12,000 frame on a 9,000 truck... Not sure if thats spot on but seems pretty realistic lol

lol pretty soon he'd be driving around with frame and 4 tires, No cab, no thing just 4 tires and his frame lol! Im not trying to say taco's are bad, just saying with having about 4-10 inches of salt on our roads every winter, rust might be a little bit of an issue :P
