I dunno if i've ever seen a stink bug up here in MI.
However, we get little day flies all the time. Have you heard of something called an ozone machine? Bugs need air to breathe, correct? i've got one of these machines in the basement somewhere, but what it does is takes all the oxygen and turns it into Ozone, its like a set and forget thing for a few hours, Usually used to take the smell out of cloth (I bought it when the Barn next door caught fire and my truck got covered in ash and soot with the windows down) but i bet that would kill them. Assuming they like to breathe.

Well I spent 13 hours cleaning my truck out today. I had to take door panels off and shopvac literally 500 dead stink bugs out of the panels, seats, carpet, dash, and headliner. I then went to clean out the toolbox....thats when I noticed there were hundreds under by bedliner . So I took my box out, bedliner out, took the tailgate off, disassembled that....All in all, I probably encountered atleast 1000 stink bugs. I still got a few on the outside of the truck and I was able to pinpoint they are coming from the engine compartment. I also noticed 5 dead in my dome light telling me there must be a whole cluster of them up in the headliner . I set off another raid bomb a little bit ago just to be sure I killed them in the cab. I was going to set one off in the engine compartment but I read the label and it said highly flamable so I thought that would be a bad idea lol....now I just pray no eggs were laid!

I never heard of Stink bugs before.
A Google search told me they were just found for the first time in Minnesota last year.

good god that sucks so bad stringer. i was gonna say if those things are anything like fleas, then it would be good to use a growth regulator product on them to interrupt their life cycle and kill the eggs...

edit- nevermind, i guess they dont reproduce indoors...

Update on the situation. Most are dead so far...an occasional appearance on the exterior of the truck thank god. Now the task of getting all the dead ones out of my headliner....

Why don't you take the Headliner out and do some preventative maintenance also? Is that possible with these types of insects?

Florida bot a mustang 1967 coupe from a farmer field $200 w/351w installed got it home on trailer . keep seeing ants coming out about 2 weeks later no ants now gecko running around ... after that I see RAT running out of the mustang took the seats out and no more Rat .. I should send some gecko up your way !!!!

With these bugs, there is no real kill for them on the market. The Raid bombs I used worked however, it doesn't kill the eggs. Actually nothing is on the market yet that kills stink bug eggs . What really sucks is that stink bugs emit an unpleasant smell when killed which attracts other stink bugs to come and attend the "funeral" . So far today I havent seen a single one on the inside or outside of my truck.

yep... in my old house i remember waking up in the middle of the night hearing those stupid things buzzing around my room and clanking off of things.... then id get up turn the lights on and roll up a magazine and play homerun derby.. used to to be all over the window frame... luckily only see em every once in a while in the house im in now.. id probably just light my truck on fire and roll it down a hill if it got infested!

man that sucks... i'm glad that your getting them cleared out though. when i got my truck for some strange reason a lot of bees an waspers "liked it"... i spent what felt like 2 months trying to get in my truck an nearly getting stung in the process. it got to the point that everytime i saw a bee or waspers near or landing on my truck i swatted them. lol i think they finally got the idea that they weren't welcome an finally left my truck alone. (knock on wood that they won't come back) lol
