brake help (new)
ok so i was driving yesterday and i heard a bad snap and my brakes were all f'ed up. i took off the rear drums and pieces just started pouring out so i got it to a brake shop. no big deal, he said about 3 hours and itll be done. so i went there today to see how it was going and it turns out not good. he got all the hardware in there and everything was done but when he puts the lugs on and tightens everything down, the tire doesnt spin. the top of the shoes are snug against the inside of the drum, even with no pressure on the pedal. hes going to check out shoes for a '99 and see how that works but i dont get how just the top of the shoes are sticking but everything else is primo. im thinking something has to be bent? has anyone ever had a problem with this? and im also sick of dealing with drums. has anyone switched their rear drums to disc brakes? is it expensive? any help is appreciated, ill be sending all the info and ideas i get from you guys to the brake guy to see if itll help him.
thanks
-Luc
